John Davey, SIG co-leader, has organized a program designed to provide area non-profit organizations with free assistance in creating, revising and/or maintaining their websites. This program matches PACS Web Design members who would like to use their skills with local groups who need their help. The intent is to allow PACS members to gain experience while providing real support to community organizations that cannot afford to pay for website development. Positive publicity for PACS should also result from our members' contributions of time and effort.
John has been working with Philadelphia Cares, an organization that channels volunteers to non-profit groups addressing social, educational and environmental needs in the region. In addition, we have learned of other groups and organizations through personal contacts of our members.
